Green Amber

In the early nineties, when I first fell madly in love with Baltic Amber -- for its beauty, folklore, history and its intrinsic ties to my ancestral homeland, I was offered a lot of beautiful mossy green amber set in handworker sterling silver. There are many underground chapels built for miners' saints (St. Kinga was a guardian saint of salt miners and St. Barbara was a guardian saint of coal miners). Miners believed that saints would protect them from accidents and deaths.
